You don't by trying to find the laws of Physics."

With only couple of months left in the academic year children may be preparing for the final exams and schools may be rushing to cover the syllabus. If you are interested there are still some interesting events this month.

While you are busy with academics, you do not have to neglect general reading. Browse through any book at www.ArvindGuptaToys.com

If you need to improve English and Maths skills, consider enrolling in a unique daily worksheet program - IndGenius Edge from GLASS, Bangalore. Children can enroll at any time into a 3-month term. Maths and English are the only subjects that would be covered in this program at this time. Detailed initial assessment would be provided in the first term. Corrected worksheets would be returned with answers and explanations so that parents and/or tutors can follow-up with the child.

March 2013

Register Early for Summer Camps!

Summer is a great time to play and explore.

Visit grandparents and relatives.  Catch up with your extended families.
Read some books.  Write some of your favorite passages down neatly in a permanent notebook that you can preserve for a decade or more.  Reading and then writing down what interests you, is the best method to improve your public speaking skills in any language.

In case, you are in town in the months of April and May, you may consider exploring a variety of activities that you may not have tried in depth in schools.  Here are some that we plan to offer:

  • Hands-on activities using electronic circuits.  Some ideas posted by Mr. S.G. Srinivas on his site - http://www.scientificstudents.com/sr-projects.html.  Refer to the 'Children Circuit Labs' document.
  • Self-study methods and notes preparation.
  • Research techniques using unique sources (not just Wikipedia cut-and-paste).
  • Good usage of computers and internet.
  • Scratch visual programming language (if you know already, do something complex and meaningful this Summer).
  • Edutainment and group discussions.
  • Some off-site activities including walking and cycling in partnership with the Trekking and Cycling Sports Club of Eluru - http://www.meetup.com/Trekking-And-Cycling-Sports-Club/.
  • A unique daily worksheet program, IndGenius Edge from GLASS, Bangalore Children can enroll at any time into a 3-month term.  Maths and English are the only subjects that would be covered in this program at this time. Detailed initial assessment would be provided in the first term.   Corrected worksheets would be returned with answers and explanations so that parents and/or tutors can follow-up with the child.
